All-In For ALS Casino Night Event Raises Funds and Awareness for ALS Research

MIAMI, Fla. – Prediq Media Group, a digital marketing agency, has announced its sponsorship of the annual All-In for ALS casino night event held on Friday, April 24, 2015. The event will benefit A Life Story Foundation (ALSF), founded by Southeast Florida resident Kevin Swan after his diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) at just 30-years-old.

“We’re honored to support an organization, and a friend, with such an important mission,” said Alex Oliveira, CEO of Prediq Media. “Kevin has made great strides in raising awareness and creating action for ALSF, and Prediq Media is proud to be part of this event.”

ALS, more popularly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS has no known cause or cure, but Swan and ALSF are rallying to change that.

“ALS is not the story of my life – I am not defined by it, it is merely a diagnosis,” said Swan. “Our foundation is going to make this disease a household name by not only raising awareness but creating action.”

A Life Story Foundation was created shortly after Swan was diagnosed with ALS in February of 2012.
